Student Leadership Opportunities
Briya Voices for All
Briya Voices For All is an advocacy class offered for advance English students designed to empower students with the tools to become strong advocates and active community leaders. In this class, students will build skills in advocacy, public speaking, and civic engagement, while learning how local government works and how to make their voices heard on issues that matter. Through real-world projects and community involvement, students will grow their leadership abilities and become more confident navigating systems that affect their lives and families.
Class meets every Friday 10:30-11:30 on Zoom and once a month in person.

Student Council
The Briya Student Council is a group of student representatives who meet with school leaders three times a year in the fall, winter, and spring. Student Council members share ideas, give feedback, and help make Briya a better place for all students by representing their classmates' voices.
Briya Student Leadership
Briya Student Leaders take an active role in building community, creating change, and representing their classmates. Leadership opportunities include testifying before the DC City Council, advocating for personal and community needs, welcoming new students, and helping coordinate events at their school site. Student Leaders build confidence, public speaking skills, and experience making a difference in their school and beyond.
